Groups and Courses

Enquirers Group

An Enquirers Group is run from time to time based on the popular Emmaus Course in conjunction with other churches in the Town Cluster. These sessions are a wonderful way in to exploring the meaning of Life, discovering who Jesus is and what Christians believe, and an opportunity to ask the questions you were afraid to ask! Those who wish may proceed to Confirmation upon the completion of the course.

Deepening our Understanding

We are committed to learning and growing in our discipleship. Courses and one-off events are run from time to time to address both our personal growth in faith and practical lay ministry.

Lent Study Courses

We join together each Lent in conjunction with the other churches in the Town Cluster to explore a Christian theme, sometimes through the medium of a well-known film. Two parallel groups are run: on one afternoon and one evening.

In some years we have have followed a theme based on an exhibition of religious art on display in the Church and open to the general public. Each study group follows a shared supper and ends with Compline.

We collaborate with other Christians in Bedford on a lunchtime in Lent to offer talks on an aspect of faith or life.

The parish has also traditionally worked ecumenically in conjunction with other town centre churches to organize joint evening worship over the summer holiday and an open air Good Friday service.
